Giant Cell Tumor Network

Corey finished his last set of chemo treatments and had scans which showed increased activity in the pelvic/sacrum tumors.
We are waiting to hear of the date for the clinical trial. There are a few but which does he qualify for, we'll find out. The tumors cause nausea...I am giving him home infusions of Zofran..and sweating.
Corey sleeps alot due to the pain meds he is taking. The nurses say they have never seen a patient on such high doses.
Will let you all know what & when....I promise! Take care to all!

Corey has been through so much. I hope that he gets into a clinical trial. I just started the Denosumab trial in Philadelphia. Several people on this site are participating in this trial at 1 of the 4 sites. It seems to be doing amazing things for most of the patients. It is too early to tell for me yet but at least I have no side effects from the treatment. Good luck and keep us updated.

Susan, Can I assume that they are considering the Denosumab tiral? It seems that this is the great miracle drug we have all been praying for. It has done wonders for Ilana. Please try to see if Corey qualifies. If you want the number of the doctor in Philly, I'll be happy to get it to you. Diane
