I understand. The only issue is that there is a fee for him to review the x-rays online for the consultation. So you would have to contact him directly. Sorry Yamen. Also, your medical information is confidential. I am not permitted to discuss your condition without you present. I'll see what I can do.
Hi Yamen. Dr. James Wittig (http://sarcoma.ws/) is an excellent Orthopedic Oncologist. He has online services and you can submit your x-rays directly to him over the internet. I had a GCT in the left distal femur in 2000 and then again in 2002. Since then no recurrence and lately I'm feeling great. Good luck! If you need me to reach out to him in advance please let me know.
I'm so glad that you had your surgery. I hope that you are finding peace and motiviation each day. Best of luck in your recovery. Keep me posted on your situation. Take care!
wow your x-ray is intense! Mine was at the bottom of my femur, near my knee. I wish you luck and that the doctors will do a better job this time! xoxox
Wow! That sounds terrible. I'm so sorry that you are going through this. It can be so aweful. Do you like the doctor from France better? Is he at least familiar with GCT? Also, are you on pain medication? I still take pain medication that definitely helps cut back on the nerve pain? Also, physical therapy is super important after a surgery. Did you have therapy to make you stronger after your surgeries?
Yes! I will definitely post more about the Zometa. I am not pain free, I have began to start to manage my pain but I still feel a lot of pain even with the drugs. I haven't had ANY surgery yet, I have been reading a lot about it though just in case. My doctor is putting any of that off for now but the embolizations haven't started shrinking my tumor yet so they may need to do surgery some time. I will post my x-rays for all to see :) Thanks for the comment!!!
I'm so sorry to hear about you breaking your femur recently. I know how difficult it can be to be in bed for so long. Are you having your surgery with the same doctor? Did they specialize in giant cell tumors? How long was your physical rehabilitation last time?
And don't worry about your English! It's fine. Take care!
