Hi Lottie! I'm doing pretty well after surgery...I went to the doctor yesterday and I'm now able to walk without crutches, although it is painful. He said to let pain be my guide, and when it hurts too bad, to get back on the crutches. No running, jumping, etc. How are you doing? My surgery was February 19th so I'm about a month ahead of you. Are you in a lot of pain? I hope not. How is your recovery coming?
Hiya Lottie, im glad its not just me then, they really dont say much do they? my consultant is Mr Cannon, and yes very old hospital but the nurses were brilliant, i couldnt fault the care i had. Im still waiting for my results so think il write down all the Questions i want to ask for once i go back. Spk soon. x
You are sweet, thank you. You've been through three more surgeries than I... you are brave and doing remarkable! Gosh! Although all of our surgeries are difficult, we all face this uncertainty of a very strange illness that may or may not reoccur. Parts of our skeletal structure is being removed and replaced with cement, bone, metal rods and screws... it's all very strange! I try to just look forward, now we have two grand babies that will be born this year... one in June and one in October! When I catch myself feeling abit blue, I do my hair and makeup... look in the mirror and smile at myself, smille all day long sometimes... I can feel the happy endorphins and it helps me to stay on the upside of life... always. I enjoy every day and am grateful for it! I'm a little nervous about this GCT stuff, but I just push it out of the way and don't allow it to consume me. You are in inspiration to me... you've gone through all of this incredibly gracefully. I wish you the best, a fast and healthy recovery and I hope and pray that that d*** tumor is gone from you forever! Take care, Pam
Good Luck Lottie, hope all goes well. Since my total knee replacement in Sept 2000 I have been tumor free. I still go for yearly check ups and am nervous every time! I will be thinking about you. Kim
