My doc recommended a needle biopsy pre surgery so that he can know exactly what the tumor is before the surgery. Just wanted to know if any of you have had it and if theres any info that you would like to share.
my tumor is on my left foot - first...
Wow, interesting. The theories on why we get GCT is varied and unknown. The hormone theory makes since with many of the young women but not for me, or you. You a young male, me an older woman... so that doesn't apply. I injured my knee, right where the tumor grew... almost a year prior to being diagnosed with GCT. During that time it grew to the size of a large grapefruit, my doc said it took 6 to 8 months for it to get that large. So, maybe bone trauma does have something to do with it, in some cases. Or, maybe we all have some common thread in our bodies that causes this. Strange!
Hi, great to hear you are doing well! I'm doing good too, thank you. Please tell me more about how your foot felt before you knew what it was. It's been a year since my tumor was removed and I feel good! I'll be in Renton tomorrow... my aunt's 94th birthday celebration. We live out on the northern tip of Kitsap Peninsula, real close to Point No Point lighthouse.
how were you diagnosed gct? Did you have a biopsy? Good luck
