My daughter is scheduled to have this done next week. Can anyone tell me what this is? What can I expect? Is this a painful procedure and will she have to stay in the hospital overhight?

My daughter is 22 years old and has just recently been diagnosed with a Giant Cell Tumor in her sacrum. Just curious if anyone with the same diagnosis has had their surgery at Vanderbilt Orthopedic Institute?

I hope your daughter is doing ok from her embolizations and surgeries! I wish you all the luck and a quick recovery because I know what you all are going through and it is so hard! We all ask why me, but what can you do but deal with it! Be strong and mostly be strong for your daughter, because I don't know what I would have done without my mom or husband. I owe them my life!
