Hi Kerri Sorrry recovery is difficult for you I am 8 monthspost op gct in distal femur I have been so helped by the feedback here. Don't get discouraged (I shouldtalk) The DRs do not know what to tell you My Doctor is the same way. If he knew he would say My age is probably a factor in my recovery 62yr but I am working Parttime as a RN carol
I am sorry your recovery has been difficult. How long ago was your surgery? I never had a bone biopsy before surgery just the one they did during surgery so I do not really know about the pain from that but I hope they are giving you pain medicine for it. You mentioned the CT and thickening but is that in your leg or lungs? I wish you good luck on your recovery. If you have any questions let me know.
Hi Kerri,
I also had a GCT in my proximal tibia. How is your recovery going?

About Me:
I'm a 29 year old recently married girl who chalked up all of my pain to getting older and wearing heels every day. I had been having pain in my right knee for at least a year and had fallen and hurt it several times. I had been seeing a Chiropractor for over a year who told me the pain was because of my sciatic nerve. Months later, I went to a family doctor and had x-rays taken, but he couldn't find anything. Four months after that I fell again and could barely walk for 2 weeks. After that, I was fed up and went to see a sports medicine doctor, who immediatly diagnosed me with a benign tumor and made me an appointment with an orthopedic oncologist the next day. I had a biopsy a week later and the removal surgery a week after that. I've been recovering at home for 3 months and I'm anxious to get back to normal!
