About Me:

24 years old 3rd year medical student. I just finished up suturing a patient in the OR when I slipped, felled, and fracture the distal end of left femur. I was wheeled to the ER where xrays were taken and I was told that I have what looks to be a GCT in my femur. They give me a knee immobilizer and sent me home with a referral for an orthopedic oncologist. It took another week for me to get see the orthopedic oncologist. At our appointment, I was told my case was classic for GCT and I was scheduled for surgery last Monday. I was told they performed curettage with some adjuvant and also did some bone grafting. I have been home for a week now and the pain in my knees has decreases significantly since the first night after the surgery however the pain is still there and I'm still wearing the knee immobilizer.
